    Status: Resolved
    Update: The team has been able to resolve the issue. The steps to create an account with a trial should now be working as expected.
  • Time: Sept. 18, 2024, 7:13 p.m.
    Status: Identified
    Update: We're aware of errors for those attempting to create an account via our "Start a Trial" button on our pricing page. We've identified the cause, and our team is working on a solution. As a workaround, creating a free account still works, and a trial can be started from within your new Buffer account.

  • Time: Sept. 17, 2024, 4:49 p.m.
    Status: Resolved
    Update: The issue affecting Buffer has been fully resolved. Our team has confirmed that the service is now operating normally. We apologise for any disruption this may have caused and appreciate your patience throughout the resolution process. Should you experience any additional problems, please reach out to our support team for assistance.
  • Time: Sept. 17, 2024, 2:49 p.m.
    Status: Monitoring
    Update: We have implemented a fix and will monitor it closely. As of now, the Publish dashboard should load normally, and posts should also go through more smoothly. Login should also function as expected.
  • Time: Sept. 17, 2024, 12:19 p.m.
    Status: Investigating
    Update: We are investigating some reports of Buffer Publish not currently loading as well as some updates not publishing as a result of this; we are extremely sorry for the trouble and inconvenience this is causing. It also looks like some customers are unable to successfully login or use their two-factor-authentication login method due to this issue as well. Our engineers are exploring what is creating this issue and looking to fix the problem as soon as possible. We will update this status page as soon as we have any further news.

    Status: Resolved
    Update: After thorough monitoring, we are confident that Meta has resolved the issue. We have not received any further reports, and as a result, we are marking this incident as resolved. Thank you for bearing with us.
  • Time: Sept. 12, 2024, 12:17 p.m.
    Status: Monitoring
    Update: Over the past few hours, we've seen the publishing success rate for both Instagram and Threads return to normal for carousel (multi-image) posts. We're continuing to monitor the situation, but it appears that the issue within the API has now been resolved.
  • Time: Sept. 12, 2024, 8:32 a.m.
    Status: Identified
    Update: We are still awaiting further updates from Meta and will continue to monitor the situation closely. At present, it is not possible to automatically publish Instagram carousel posts (posts containing multiple images). As a workaround, we recommend scheduling posts with single images. If multiple images are essential, you can use the Instagram mobile notification workflow by selecting the "Notify Me" option, which you can learn more about here: https://support.buffer.com/article/658-using-notification-publishing We sincerely apologise for the disruption and appreciate your continued patience. We will share further updates as soon as we receive more information from Meta.
  • Time: Sept. 11, 2024, 2:03 p.m.
    Status: Identified
    Update: We’ve confirmed this issue is due to a bug on Meta’s side, primarily affecting Instagram and Threads carousel (multi-image) posts. As a workaround, you can schedule Instagram carousel posts using the “Notify Me” option, or limit posts to a single image.
  • Time: Sept. 11, 2024, 9:11 a.m.
    Status: Investigating
    Update: We are currently investigating issues with posts failing to publish to Instagram and Threads. Our Engineering team is looking into this, and we’ll update this page as soon as we have more information. We apologise for the disruption this may be causing and thank you for bearing with us while we investigate further.

    Status: Resolved
    Update: The posting success rate for LinkedIn is back to normal. This issue has been resolved.
  • Time: Sept. 4, 2024, 7:22 p.m.
    Status: Monitoring
    Update: We're beginning to see the LinkedIn publishing success rate for posts return to normal. We'll continue to monitor to ensure that things are stable.
  • Time: Sept. 4, 2024, 7:01 p.m.
    Status: Investigating
    Update: LinkedIn is currently hitting issues with their API and we are experiencing a high rate of errors for all posts. We apologize for the inconvenience and will continue to monitor the situation closely.

  • Time: Sept. 4, 2024, 4:47 p.m.
    Status: Resolved
    Update: Thanks so much for bearing with us today, we have monitored the situation over the last hour or so and posts to X with image attachments have been sending successfully once again. This issue has been resolved and the posting success rate has returned to normal.
  • Time: Sept. 4, 2024, 3:47 p.m.
    Status: Monitoring
    Update: Our engineers have been able to identify this issue and push a fix out. We are no longer seeing these errors occur for single image posts to X and posting success has begun to return to normal for X again. We will continue to monitor this over the next few hours before looking to label this issue as fully resolved. Thank you for your patience with us as we were working on this problem.
  • Time: Sept. 4, 2024, 3:29 p.m.
    Status: Investigating
    Update: We have seen an uptick in single image posts to X failing to publish successfully today. Our engineering team are investigating this and we are working to get publishing success back to normal. It does look like this issue is specific to single image posts for X - any X posts with no images, multi-image posts or posts with videos should still be publishing normally at the moment. As soon as we have more information and fix in place for this, we will follow up.
