Updates:

  • Time: Dec. 18, 2021, 5:21 p.m.
    Status: Resolved
    Update: We are happy to report that we have upgraded Ceros to use a new server with the updated log4j library. This means there are no remaining vulnerabilites for Ceros analytics and they are now back online. You should now be able to review the data collected while analytics was in maintenance mode and you will see analytics reported normally moving forward.   • Time: Dec. 15, 2021, 6:13 p.m.
    Status: Identified
    Update: In an effort to protect Ceros systems against the log4j vulnerability, we will be applying a patch to our analytics infrastructure. While we have not seen any evidence of Ceros systems being compromised, we are utilizing a sub-processor for Ceros analytics. As part of our remediation plans, we will be putting our analytics into maintenance mode while we work on releasing a patch to mitigate the vulnerability. During this time, users will be able to access Ceros and no event data will be lost however, new data will not be seen in Ceros analytics until after the maintenance period has concluded and the log4j vulnerability has been resolved. Please stay tuned to the status page for further updates as they become available and please feel free to email [email protected] should you have any questions.

  • Time: Dec. 15, 2021, 4:27 p.m.
    Status: Resolved
    Update: AWS has resolved their connectivity issues and all Ceros users should now be able to sign into the platform.
  • Time: Dec. 15, 2021, 4:16 p.m.
    Status: Monitoring
    Update: We are happy to report that we are seeing signs of recovery as users are beginning to be able to log into the Ceros platform once again. AWS has posted an update on their status page noting they have taken steps to restore connectivity and are seeing signs of recovery as well. We will continue to monitor the situation and will provide another update as soon as possible.
  • Time: Dec. 15, 2021, 4:02 p.m.
    Status: Investigating
    Update: We are currently investigating an issue that is preventing users from signing into the Ceros platform. This issue appears to be related to an AWS connectivity issue which is impacting platforms beyond Ceros. We will provide updates to our status page as they become available. Please note that this could also impact authentication of password-protected experiences as well.

    Update: We are happy to report that AWS has resolved their issues and the Ceros platform is back online! We appreciate your patience while waiting for this AWS issue to be corrected. Should you have any questions about this incident, please email [email protected].

    Status: Monitoring
    Update: We are continuing to monitor the ongoing issues with AWS that was causing intermittent issues previewing and publishing Ceros experiences. Please note that experiences that were previously published should not be impacted but some newer experiences might not render properly. As a temporary solution for the preview and publishing issues, we have put the Ceros platform into maintenance mode. This will prevent users from publishing content that could experience additional issues. Please note, while in maintenance mode, chat support will be taken offline. Some users previously reported an issue loading Studio which has since resolved however, the preview and publishing issues remain. Please note that experiences that were previously published should not be impacted but some newer experiences might not render properly. As a temporary solution for the preview and publishing issues, we have put the Ceros platform into maintenance mode. This will prevent users from previewing and publishing to avoid additional issues from occurring. Please note, while in maintenance mode, chat support will be taken offline.     Update: We are aware of an issue with AWS, our hosting provider, which is causing intermittent issues some users might be experiencing when previewing and publishing Ceros content.
