    Status: Postmortem
    Update: On Friday, 8/4/2023, from approximately 5:46 p.m. until 6:36 p.m. \(UTC\), some users experienced issues with viewing reports in the KMSAT Download Center. This incident was caused by a code change that impacted some users’ access to reports in the Download Center. Once the code change was reverted, KMSAT was able to return to normal performance by 6:36 p.m. \(UTC\). To prevent this type of issue in the future, we are adding more testing to our workflow. No data loss occurred as a result of this issue.

    Update: On Thursday, 8/3/2023, from approximately 12:39 p.m. until 5:16 p.m. \(UTC\), some users experienced issues with user provisioning syncs in their KMSAT consoles. This incident was caused by a backend upgrade that did not update all the dependent code, which impacted user provisioning. Once the code was updated, KMSAT was able to return to normal performance by 5:16 p.m. \(UTC\). To prevent this type of issue in the future, we are adding more research and testing to our workflow. No data loss occurred as a result of this issue.

    Update: On Thursday, 7/27/2023, from approximately 3:40 p.m. to 4:02 p.m. \(UTC\), some users experienced intermittent access issues with their KMSAT consoles. This incident was caused by a database update that used more resources than expected. Once the update was reverted, KMSAT was able to return to normal performance by 4:02 p.m. \(UTC\). To prevent this type of issue in the future, we will run additional tests before updating the database. No data loss occurred as a result of this issue.

    Update: On Wednesday, 7/26/2023, from approximately 4:41 p.m. \(UTC\) until Thursday, 8/3/2023, at approximately 12:30 a.m. \(UTC\), some KMSAT admins experienced issues downloading reports as CSV files. This incident was caused by a large number of report download requests, which led to query delays. Once a large request was removed, KMSAT was able to return to normal performance by Thursday, 8/3/2023, at 12:30 a.m. \(UTC\). To prevent this type of issue in the future, we made a backend change to reduce the amount of time needed for report download requests. We are also planning additional infrastructure changes. No data loss occurred as a result of this issue.
