Description: Our primary datacenter in Atlanta experienced a utility power outage at approximately 1:12pm ET. All backup power systems for our equipment performed as expected and our infrastructure was unaffected. Around 3:45 ET our primary internet provider \(Cogent\) had their equipment in the facility fail due to it only being connected to a battery backup and not one of the generator circuits. When our cogent connection failed our secondary internet connection should have taken over the primary gateway address and continued to serve traffic with no issue, this did not occur. We are investigating why our failover configuration did not preform as designed and have engaged with the systems vendor for support.
