Description: DATE: 10/26/2020 TIME: 5:38pm to 5:43pm CST TITLE: Message regarding recent outage alert for SPv2 API CONTACT: [email protected] The alert for the SP API today was a false alarm. There was a failure in our monitoring systems authentication layer which caused a false positive. We are reviewing our monitoring system to see if we can prevent this issue from appearing again the future.

Description: Yesterday we had a very brief service issue with the NIST API which lasted under a minute. However our status page failed to register the resolution of the problem as was stuck indicating an outage. That false indication occurred for 24 hours after 14:30PM CST 9/24/2020. The status check has been reset so the status page now accurately reflects the state of our services.

Description: Today we had an incident with our status page that cause the NIST API status to report as DOWN when in fact it was up. The problem was caused by an order of execution problem in our alert systems. The incident has been resolved. The actual downtime was 1 minute.
