Description: **Date of Incident:** June 2, 2023 **Incident Description:** The ValuTrac Software network infrastructure experienced a partial outage rendering the production service unavailable. **Identification:** At approximately 6:00 am CST the ValuTrac service became unavailable as a result of the Windows Failover Cluster service. The Windows Failover Cluster service failed to automatically restart and bring the SQL Database Cluster into a healthy state on multiple nodes despite numerous attempts. After multiple attempts to restart, the SQL Database Cluster would not manually return to a healthy state. **Mitigation:** The ValuTrac network team determined the quickest path to recovery was to provision a new production database server, thereby recovering the production service and data at the point in time for which the Failover Cluster service failed to automatically restart and bring the SQL Database Cluster into a healthy state. **Solutions & Prevention:** The ValuTrac network team has rebuilt the SQL Database Cluster to be more resilient and will be updating the production environment during the scheduled maintenance window from Friday, June 16th, 10:00 PM CST to Sunday, June 18th, 1:00 PM CST.
