    Update: The issue has now been resolved. We have identified the issue was caused by a background maintenance job that was causing contention across various parts of the infrastructure. The background job has been optimized to no longer cause this contention.

    Status: Resolved
    Update: The search index has been cleared as of 3:30 AM EST this morning and all search functionality with external sources should be functioning as expected again.

    Status: Monitoring
    Update: We have implemented a solution for this and our index is clearing, so users should see an improved experience with searching external sources. We will update here when the index is fully cleared.

    Update: Guru's Answer feature is currently experiencing some indexing delays for external sources. We have identified the issue and are working to implement a resolution. For now, users may experience degraded performance when searching new sources or searching for recently updated content in existing sources. Content in Guru and content that has already been synced from external sources will remain accessible as usual. We will share any updates here. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

    Status: Resolved
    Update: OpenAI has confirmed that this issue is resolved and their services are back up. All Guru AI features (Assist + Answers) are operational again.
  • Time: Nov. 8, 2023, 3:44 p.m.
    Status: Monitoring
    Update: OpenAI has confirmed they have implemented a fix for this issue and are monitoring the recovery of their services. We'll update here when their services are fully restored.
  • Time: Nov. 8, 2023, 3:29 p.m.
    Status: Monitoring
    Update: OpenAI, the provider we use to support our AI features (Assist + Answers) is currently experiencing issues that are affecting the performance of those features. All other Guru features are operational. We are monitoring the situation and will provide updates here.

  • Time: Feb. 13, 2023, 3:05 p.m.
    Status: Resolved
    Update: Knowledge Triggers have been re-enabled for all users so we will close out this incident report. Thanks again for your patience.
  • Time: Feb. 12, 2023, 7:52 p.m.
    Status: Monitoring
    Update: The newest version of our extension has been released (it should update for users automatically). Our team will resolve this incident as soon as the Knowledge Triggers feature is re-enabled on Monday.
  • Time: Feb. 10, 2023, 10:35 p.m.
    Status: Monitoring
    Update: We've identified the cause of this outage as relating to a recent change made to our Knowledge Triggers feature. We've released a fix for this, and are waiting on our extension to be updated by Chrome which will reflect this change. This will likely be early next week. In the meantime we've made the decision to keep the Knowledge Triggers feature turned off to ensure a smooth release. Guru is back up and running with the exception of the Knowledge Triggers feature. Thank you for your patience, we'll resolve this incident as soon as the new extension is live and Knowledge Triggers are available again.
  • Time: Feb. 10, 2023, 7:38 p.m.
    Status: Identified
    Update: While Guru is back up and running, we've confirmed the cause of the original issue and are working to release a fix. We'll update as soon as this is released. We've re-enabled notifications as a result as well, for now Knowledge Triggers are still turned off. Thank you for your patience.
  • Time: Feb. 10, 2023, 5:09 p.m.
    Status: Investigating
    Update: We are in the process of bringing Guru's services back online. While we do so, the Guru Web App and Extension should be working but Knowledge Triggers and notifications will not be operational. We will closely monitor this situation and update the status of this incident shortly as we investigate further.
  • Time: Feb. 10, 2023, 4:16 p.m.
    Status: Investigating
    Update: We're currently experiencing issues with our service and as a result, Guru is currently down. Our team is actively working to identify the root cause and implement a solution. We'll keep you updated here as we continue to investigate. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

    Update: We believe we have a solution for this issue and we’re seeing the data start to backfill for teams in Analytics. We’re continuing to monitor progress and follow up when this is complete.
