Description: On Aug 8th 2024 we received a notification advising of several payouts that had failed, this prompted a discussion during stand-up and we found out that 38 payouts failed due to an issue with the provider bank API. The SVB API support team did provide confirmation that they had issues that caused the failures on Aug 6th, we are still investigating because our payouts went out on Aug 7th. As a secondary measure, we have reduced the concurrent use of the provider bank API to be single threaded, so see if our increased volume of payouts was a factor. We are still working with the provider bank to ensure this incident will not occur again and will provide a further update when we receive confirmation from them.

We also received notifications from customers` `about the delays in API responses.` `At 11.23 am CDT the JustiFi status page was updated to Performance issues due to heavy load.` `The engineering team investigated the problem and started working on multiple improvements.` `At 11.54 am CDT the status page was updated with information about performance` `improvements.` `The team deployed improvements to database queries and increased the processing capacity` `to account for the larger volume.` `At 1.12 pm CDT the status page was updated to monitoring and at 1.13 pm CDT to resolved.` ` Since the incident several more performance optimizations have been made.`
