Description: We are aware of an issue with BGP monitoring that caused several customers to receive false positive BGP reachability alarms. Some routine IO tuning changes that were applied to servers hosting our internal message bus resulted in performance degradation that affected our ability to process BGP data in a timely fashion. This was detected by internal monitoring, and we immediately rolled the change back.

Some routine IO tuning changes that were applied to servers hosting our internal message bus resulted in performance degradation that affected our ability to process BGP data in a timely fashion. This was detected by internal monitoring, and we immediately rolled the change back.

Description: We are aware of issues with BGP monitoring that caused several customers to receive false positive BGP reachability alarms. Early on Sep 3, we were notified by internal monitoring that a core message bus was in a degraded state. We implemented a temporary fix over the weekend that ultimately proved to be unsuccessful. We then followed up with a more permanent fix late on Sep 4 that appears to be holding. We are continuing to monitor the situation closely and will likely follow up with additional fixes and improvements as the week progresses.
