Description: **Ripple Science Customer Service Bulletin** Ripple Science is providing this Customer Service Bulletin to make you aware of a recent technical issue that may have impacted your access and use of the system. **What happened?** On November 4, 2020, Ripple Science, as part of its support services, executed a standard update, 1.87.30, to our software. After the update, some customers reported: 1. Not being able to log into their accounts, some even after resetting their passwords. 2. Some customers who were able to log in reported errors when attempting to create any of the following logs: Comment Consent Email Contact 3. Some customers were not able to assign tasks to other users. 4. Some customers with Single Sign On \(SSO\) enabled, were not able to update user accounts. **What is the impact on you?** Service was turned off at 9:05 am EST to prevent potential data loss in case of the need to roll back the update. We did not need to rollback and were able to fix and restore service. Service was restored at 12:05 pm EST and users were able to log in but could not yet create comment, consent, email or contact logs. At 1:30 pm EST 11/4/20 a fix was deployed to all customers to re-enable creation of comment, consent, email and contact logs. At 3:47 pm EST 11/4/20 a fix was deployed to all customers to re-enable assignment of tasks to other users. **Was data lost as a result of this error in the code**? No. Absolutely no data was lost or compromised as a result of this update. We were able to deploy fixes in a timely manner and did not need to perform a rollback. **What is Ripple Science Doing**? We continue to monitor to ensure service is fully functional and permissions work as the customer intended. **What do you have to do?** Nothing. The system is up and will not require any additional steps on your part. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience, and assure you that Ripple Science is taking steps to ensure this does not happen again with future upgrades.
