    Update: We have monitored the services and all looks stable. As such we are closing this incident.
  • Time: Aug. 21, 2024, 3:31 p.m.
    Status: Monitoring
    Update: A fault affecting our authentication platform has been identified and a fix has been implemented. We will continue to monitor the services.

    Status: Investigating
    Update: We are aware of an issue affecting authentication of some of our ADSL/FTTC/FTTP based customers. Our engineers are actively working to resolve the issue.

  • Time: July 30, 2024, 2:05 p.m.
    Status: Resolved
    Update: This System Status alert has now been closed. The issue was resolved following the SWGfL updating the DNS records in domain swgfl.org.uk.
  • Time: July 30, 2024, 7:30 a.m.
    Status: Monitoring
    Update: The SWGfL have now resolved the DNS issue with domain swgfl.org.uk. All proxy server hostnames are now resolving as expected. This issue will be monitored through the day. The next update will be at 15:30.
  • Time: July 29, 2024, 3:19 p.m.
    Status: Investigating
    Update: The SWGfL are continuing to resolve the DNS issues with their 3rd party domain host. The next update will be at 08:30 on 30/07/2024.
  • Time: July 29, 2024, 1:41 p.m.
    Status: Investigating
    Update: The SWGfL are reviewing their DNS records now. The SWGfL DNS server workaround is still in place and remains the suggested resolution for this issue. The next update will be at 16:30.

    Update: Apologies, the earlier DNS server list was slightly incorrect. It should be: 62.171.194.100 62.171.194.101 62.171.194.104 62.171.194.105 However, as long as more than 1 DNS server is configured, DNS resolution will have still worked. We are still awaiting 3rd parties to fully resolve the DNS issue. The next update will be at 14:30.
  • Time: July 29, 2024, 9:46 a.m.
    Status: Investigating
    Update: Whilst awaiting 3rd parties to resolve the DNS issue, RM have configured the SWGfL recursive DNS servers to provide hostnames for the swgfl.org.uk domain. Customers using the SWGfL DNS servers below will now be able to browse via swgfl.org.uk proxy servers: 62.171.194.101 62.171.194.102 62.171.194.104 62.171.194.105 The next update will be provided at 12:45.
  • Time: July 29, 2024, 9:18 a.m.
    Status: Investigating
    Update: This issue is affecting all proxy servers in the domain swgfl.org.uk. We are continuing to work with the domain owner to resolve this issue. We will update this service alert at 12:00 today.

    Status: Investigating
    Update: The SWGfL proxy servers below are failing to resolve. Customers using these proxy servers will currently not be able to browse the Internet: sslfilter.userproxy.swgfl.org.uk nosslfilter.userproxy.swgfl.org.uk The owners of the domain swgfl.org.uk have transferred it to a new hosting platform. The required DNS records have not been transferred. RM is working with the domain owner to resolve this issue.

    Status: Resolved
    Update: Service has now been restored by Microsoft and issues relating to CrowdStrike have been mitigated.
  • Time: July 19, 2024, 9:28 a.m.
    Status: Investigating
    Update: As you will be aware, there is an ongoing global IT incident affecting institutions, businesses and systems. While we are aware of some intermittent issues that may impact our web chat and email service channels our telephone lines are working and we continue to support our customers as normal. If you should experience issues on any of our online channels please call our Service Desk on your normal support number. If you are seeing issues on Microsoft based systems they are likely related to this outage and should cease when the incident is resolved.

    Status: Resolved
    Update: We have monitored the performance of the service and confirm that it is now stable with no further attacks.
  • Time: April 23, 2024, 1:40 p.m.
    Status: Monitoring
    Update: We have identified a denial of service attack targeted at one of our customers. We have put mitigation in place to block the attack and are seeing no further impact. We will continue to monitor the service for any further attacks.
  • Time: April 23, 2024, 12:35 p.m.
    Status: Investigating
    Update: We are aware of an issue affecting a subset of RM Broadband customers. We are currently investigating the cause and will provide an update as soon as we know more.

    Status: Resolved
    Update: We have monitored the service and confirmed that there has been no further performance degradation. Our telecommunication partner have confirmed the issue has been resolved within their network.
  • Time: April 18, 2024, 1:22 p.m.
    Status: Monitoring
    Update: Our Telecommunication partner have confirmed that they have identified the root cause and the issue has been resolved. It appears that the service is now stable, and we will continue the monitoring.
  • Time: April 18, 2024, 12:07 p.m.
    Status: Investigating
    Update: We are aware of an internet browsing issue affecting a small number of customers using FTTP connections. We are coordinating with our Telecommunication partner to fix the issue.
