Description: **Why it happened** As we started investigating the issue, the Aventri OPS team noticed that different server instances were entering into an unhealthy status for about a few seconds, before changing back to a healthy status. The load balancers routing user requests was unable to pickup on the transient healthy state of the servers causing requests to fail. Even though recreating the load balancers helped us reduce the failure rate to 10-20%, it was still not enough to provide a consistent experience to our customers. We engaged the AWS Prod support team which helped diagnose that the CPU spikes on those servers were causing the unhealthy status alerts and made our products unreachable or slow when connected to that specific instance. Upon further investigation, we noticed the issues were related to the operating system and the servers were running an older OS version. **What we did about it** In the interest of time instead of trying to debug the older OS version, we went down the path of recreating all server instances with the latest OS version and replace the older instances in the cluster. Once completed, the ops team monitored the infrastructure, got the QA team to run health checks across all application modules and notified the support & client services team that the platform is available leading to resolution of the incident.
