    Status: Resolved
    Update: A patch going out to our customers tonight (29.22) will resolve the issue, by ensuring the Device Type is always filled in. We appreciate your patience as we dealt with the holiday weekend as well as unexpected deployment issues. Please reach out if after you are updated 29.22 you still don't see communication from your live tracking enabled vehicles and objects.

    Status: Identified
    Update: Due to code deployment issues, we have not been able to patch an automatic fix to this problem yet. We do apologize for the continued down time. As a reminder, there is a workaround to fix device communication: • Go to your Geopointe Devices object. • Update the "Device Type" field on your devices to be "Standard." • Save your Device records.
  • Time: Sept. 1, 2022, 8:25 p.m.
    Status: Identified
    Update: If you are a user of Geopointe's Live Tracking add-on, you may not have seen communication from your devices since late on Tuesday, 8/30. A change to support new devices inadvertently affected existing devices. We will be patching an update soon. If you need a fix sooner, please do the following: • Go to your Geopointe Devices object. • Update the "Device Type" field on your devices to be "Standard." • Save your Device records. • Once that is done, you will start having communication from your devices again. We apologize for the inconvenience and we will update this incident report once the patch is released.

  • Time: Aug. 19, 2022, 8:13 p.m.
    Status: Postmortem
    Update: For unknown reasons, [Cloudflare](https://www.cloudflare.com/) stopped caching marker images correctly. Cloudflare is used between Salesforce and our servers for security and simplicity purposes. It helps keep data secure when we have to use our server for calculations. Among those calculations is the image generation of the map markers. Map markers now only use Cloudflare to route the image request; we no longer store cached images there. That fixed the problem, and should prevent a re-occurrence. If you or a member of your team is still seeing broken markers in your Geopointe environment, empty your web browser cache; it’s likely the bad images got cached locally. After you clear your cache, you should see markers again. If you continue to have problems, please email us at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]).

    Status: Resolved
    Update: If you or a member of your team are continuing to see broken marker images, make sure you clear your browser image cache. After that, you should start to see marker pins again. Thank you for your patience with this inconvenience.
  • Time: Aug. 18, 2022, 4:26 p.m.
    Status: Monitoring
    Update: We have identified a caching error in one of our security service providers. The caching has been disabled and markers are appearing normally again. Our development team will continue to monitor for degraded performance caused by the lack of caching and if an alternative solution will be necessary. If you notice any significant decreases in data set load times, please contact [email protected].

    Status: Investigating
    Update: We are hearing multiple reports of data set markers showing as broken images in the editor and not showing up on the map at all. We are investigating the root case of the problem and hope to have a resolution soon. If you need a resolution sooner, there is a workaround: edit the markers in some way (add/remove icons, change the color slightly) and re-save the data set. We understand this is not a sustainable resolution, and will be working to find a better one as quickly as possible.

    Update: Google had most services restored by 11:00am PT, and got everything else back up by that afternoon.

    Update: We have been made aware that Google Maps is having problems and is not loading for most customers. We are monitoring the Google Maps Platform Status page for updates, but there is nothing our Geopointe team can do other than wait for Google.     Status: Postmortem
    Update: Geopointe version 29.9 was packaged pushed out to customers at approximately 9:30am PT, just under four hours after the problem was reported. ‌ Anyone on version 29.9 or later should no longer see this problem.

    Status: Resolved
    Update: A new custom field (relating to an upcoming feature) was added on our existing Shape object. This field correctly had read/write permissions for Geopointe Admin permission set, and no read or write permissions on Geopointe Base Permission set, causing an unhandled error preventing shapes from loading for end users.
