Updates:

  • Time: Nov. 10, 2022, 7:55 p.m.
    Status: Resolved
    Update: Due to a change in NWS Radar web services, Opti's integration that acquires radar images for the Opti Portal dashboards was interrupted from around 11am EDT on 10/18/2022 until 2:30 pm EST on 11/10/2022. During this period of time, no radar images are available on the Opti Portal dashboards. This issue has been resolved, and we have identified and corrected a gap in our internal alarms that allowed it to go unnoticed.

  • Time: Oct. 26, 2022, 3:49 p.m.
    Status: Resolved
    Update: All Opti facilities have reconnected after this event, and operated for over 2 hours without further issue. This issue is resolved.
  • Time: Oct. 26, 2022, 1:32 p.m.
    Status: Monitoring
    Update: Cellular networks are recovering, and most Opti sites are back online. No sites have transitioned to failsafe yet. We are monitoring connectivity before calling this resolved, but most of the fleet has recovered.
  • Time: Oct. 26, 2022, 12:57 p.m.
    Status: Identified
    Update: Our US telemetry provider is reporting an ongoing issue with LTE Cat-M1 networks, resulting in most Opti facilities being offline (unavailable for remote control, and data from them is not being updated live on the Opti Portal dashboards). Our service providers are actively escalating and troubleshooting the issue. We expect control sites to transition to failsafe around 10:29 AM EDT if this issue is not resolved at that point, and will update here as we learn more.

  • Time: Oct. 11, 2022, 3:39 a.m.
    Status: Resolved
    Update: Working with our hosting provider, we have routed requests around the impacted servers, restoring normal operations.
  • Time: Oct. 10, 2022, 11:49 p.m.
    Status: Identified
    Update: Our hosting provider has identified an issue in their infrastructure causing this problem, and are working to resolve it. To access the Opti Portal while this issue persists, please go directly to https://portal.onopti.com.
  • Time: Oct. 10, 2022, 9:55 p.m.
    Status: Investigating
    Update: OptiRTC.com, the company home page and location of the "Log In" to the Opti Portal link, is reporting issues establishing new secure connections, preventing users from accessing the site. This issue is limited to the home page only: all aspects of the Opti Platform itself are working correctly. To access dashboards and the Opti Portal, please go to https://portal.onopti.com directly.

  • Time: Oct. 5, 2022, 4:36 p.m.
    Status: Resolved
    Update: All platform operations have returned to normal. We are reaching out to our service provider about additional steps we can take to prevent this type of issue from recurring. Please reach out to support (at) optirtc.com if you have specific questions about your sites' operations.
  • Time: Oct. 5, 2022, 4:04 p.m.
    Status: Monitoring
    Update: The new infrastructure we have transitioned the Opti Platform to run on is working well, and we are continuing to see signs that service is returning to normal. Telemetry, Integrations, and Watershed Operations are functioning normally again, while Remote Manual Control is still recovering. We will update again here when all services have been restored.
  • Time: Oct. 5, 2022, 3:31 p.m.
    Status: Identified
    Update: We have redeployed new cloud instances and are transitioning traffic over to them. We are seeing preliminary signs of service recovery, and are monitoring the system closely.
  • Time: Oct. 5, 2022, 2:41 p.m.
    Status: Investigating
    Update: We are responding to an issue with our cloud service provider that is impacting the collection of data from sites and real-time updates to the Opti Portal web application. If this issue is not resolved in the next 30 minutes, some sites are expected to failsafe.

  • Time: July 18, 2022, 3:23 a.m.
    Status: Resolved
    Update: Our cellular providers report traffic has resumed to normal levels, and we have observed almost all impacted sites making a smooth recovery. We are continuing to monitor the stability of this service. Storage, Elevation, and Operation Mode visualizations on the Opti dashboard at https://portal.onopti.com can indicate whether your site transitioned to failsafe during this outage, and whether storage was released as a result.
  • Time: July 18, 2022, 2:36 a.m.
    Status: Monitoring
    Update: Our cellular provider has communicated there has been an uptick in device connectivity across North America, and they expect this trend to continue over the next hour.
  • Time: July 18, 2022, 2:32 a.m.
    Status: Monitoring
    Update: Around 10:22-10:25 EDT 7/17/2022 about a third of the sites that experienced cellular connectivity issues today have reconnected. Your dashboard at https://portal.onopti.com can show if your site has reconnected. Our service provider has not yet provided an expected time of resolution.
  • Time: July 17, 2022, 11:20 p.m.
    Status: Monitoring
    Update: Addendum: the issue is ongoing. Our cellular providers are treating it as a top priority but have not yet reported an expected time for resumption of cellular service. We are monitoring this status and will report when anything changes. Many sites will have transitioned to pre-determined failsafe positions at this time.
  • Time: July 17, 2022, 11:17 p.m.
    Status: Monitoring
    Update: We are continuing to monitor for any further issues.
  • Time: July 17, 2022, 10:17 p.m.
    Status: Monitoring
    Update: As of 5:07 PM EDT many areas of North America are experiencing a loss of LTE Cat-M1 cellular service, which is impacting many Opti sites. Impacted control sites will transition to failsafe after 2 hours of continuous connectivity loss. The Connectivity Summary at the bottom of the left panel of your site dashboard at https://portal.onopti.com indicates whether and how long your specific site may be impacted by this issue. Our cellular providers are working on this issue but have not yet announced a resolution time.
