Updates:

  • Time: Sept. 2, 2021, 9:27 p.m.
    Status: Resolved
    Update: Between 3:27 AM and 8:34 AM EDT and again from 11:10 to 11:50 AM EDT, Opti Portal data updates lagged behind real-time. During this time, Remote Control was available but charts on dashboards updated more slowly than usual, making it harder to see how Remote Control actions succeeded. The issue has been resolved and all systems are running normally.

  • Time: June 14, 2021, 7:07 p.m.
    Status: Resolved
    Update: Between 7AM and 8AM EDT today, Opti Monitoring and Control Panels were impacted by an outage of an underlying cellular telemetry provider. As of 8:28 AM EDT Opti’s telemetry provider reported that the issue has been resolved, and all impacted Opti Panels have reconnected. During this event, no sites transitioned to failsafe. However, during the outage, data used for Event Explorer, alerts, and control capabilities of the Opti Platform were delayed. As a result, real-time data from Opti Panels and Manual Control were not forwarded to Opti and will not be available for the ~1 hour period during which most sites were impacted.

    Status: Resolved
    Update: We have seen consistent success with users across the country accessing the impacted services. This issue is resolved.
  • Time: May 7, 2021, 4:48 p.m.
    Status: Monitoring
    Update: The digital certificates have been updated, and the Opti Portal and Remote Manual Control features are now available again.
  • Time: May 7, 2021, 4:42 p.m.
    Status: Identified
    Update: The digital certificate is renewed and is being rolled out to service hosts. We expect service to be restored within the next fifteen minutes.
  • Time: May 7, 2021, 1:52 p.m.
    Status: Identified
    Update: A digital certificate used to secure user connections to the Opti Portal and underlying APIs expired, and the Opti Portal and Remote Control features are currently inaccessible as a result. Automated site control is not impacted by this issue, and no data loss is expected. We have begun the certificate renewal process manually, and expect to resolve this issue within the next two hours.

  • Time: April 16, 2021, 6:53 p.m.
    Status: Resolved
    Update: All operational impacted sites have received the update, and we have confirmed rain is being recorded as expected.
  • Time: April 14, 2021, 4:15 a.m.
    Status: Monitoring
    Update: Impacted Opti Monitoring Panels with expected weather have received the over-the-air update containing the fix. We are monitoring the fleet and will resolve this issue when we can confirm rainfall events are being recorded as expected.
  • Time: April 13, 2021, 10:05 p.m.
    Status: Identified
    Update: We have completed verifying our fix for this issue, and are rolling it out to affected sites that are in areas expected to receive rainfall this evening. All other sites will receive the update as part of their next normal maintenance activity.
  • Time: April 12, 2021, 9:32 p.m.
    Status: Identified
    Update: We are continuing to work on verifying our fix for this issue. We expect to be ready to roll out the fix for this issue to impacted customers by Wednesday 4/14, and will update again tomorrow.
  • Time: April 9, 2021, 1:11 p.m.
    Status: Identified
    Update: We have identified a regression in Opti Monitoring Panels manufactured after 2017 that prevents data provided by many rain gauges from being read. This issue does not impact Site Controls or rain gauges connected to Opti Control Panels. The issue began when the devices received a firmware patch on 3/15. We have developed a fix for this issue which is currently in our QA/QC process. We expect to deploy a patch to all impacted devices that will restore rain gauge service by early next week, and will provide an update by Monday 4/12. Contact [email protected] if you are a customer who would like support in finding a local public rain gauge source to approximate any missing storms since 3/15.
