Description: During a routine deployment during off-peak hours, a simple change to our Production database caused several tables to lock for approximately 23 minutes, causing downtime for any users on the platform. This issue has been resolved at this point and we don't expect there to be any subsequent problems related to this. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and will work on discovering and addressing root causes so this doesn't happen again. Description: At approximately 18:42 EDT, we received reports from customers regarding connection failures while attempting to transfer files to our SFTP endpoint, transfers.paymentworks.com. This was a service outage affecting all SFTP clients attempting to transfer files. Investigation into the incident eventually identified the problem as a load balancer misconfiguration at approximately 20:00 EDT. By 20:30 EDT the misconfiguration was reverted, bringing all nodes behind the load balancer back to healthy status within minutes. This service incident has been resolved fully but we continue to investigate both the root cause of this misconfiguration.
