Updates:

  • Time: Nov. 11, 2019, 7:44 p.m.
    Status: Postmortem
Update: On the evening of Thursday, 7th of November, Teem conducted a routine code release. In this release, one of our dependent packages was updated as we continue to move to Python 3 compatibility. In addition to the package update, SAML application code was updated to appropriately use the upgraded packages. Early in the morning of 8th of November, a separate issue was found with the release put out hours before. In accordance with our process the release was reverted to last known good state. This caused the SAML specific sections of the application to no longer be compatible with the underlying dependent packages. Throughout the 8th of November the code release was altered to remove the issue noted above, and in the afternoon of the 8th was redeployed, placing the SAML application code changes back in place.
  • Time: Nov. 8, 2019, 11:05 p.m.

  • Time: Nov. 8, 2019, 9:03 p.m.
    Status: Identified
Update: We have identified an issue with authentication to Teem systems. Customers attempting to login through SAML SSO are receiving a 500 error. Customers using basic authentication (username/password), Google login, or Office365 login are not affected by this issue. We are working to resolve this problem and we hope to have a fix out later today. Next Update: 5PM MT/7PM ET

Updates:

  • Time: Nov. 11, 2019, 7:36 p.m.
    Status: Postmortem
Update: On the evening of Thursday, 7th of November, Teem conducted a routine code release. In this release, an optimization with Google Calendar syncing was introduced, that is designed to reduce the overall load on Teem servers as well as limit the number of API requests made to Google during calendar sync. These changes worked as anticipated, and gave us the expected improvements, handing a smaller event set to other areas of our application for storage. That limited event set however caused the storage phase to delete already retrieved events, making the calendar seem blank. Because the sync and storage both completed, no errors were raised or tests failed. Early in the morning of 8th of November, due to this unexpected behavior, Teem reverted the release that had happened hours before, going back to the previous known good state, and then removed the above mentioned changes before rolling code forward again on the afternoon of the 8th of November. Going forward, further changes will be made to the storage phase of calendar syncing to appropriately handle the conditions outlined above. In addition the testing surrounding this area of the application will be increased.
  • Time: Nov. 8, 2019, 7:46 a.m.

    Status: Resolved

  • Time: Nov. 7, 2019, 6:50 p.m.
    Status: Monitoring

    Status: Investigating
Update: We are again seeing the issue on Eventboard where once an event check-in time expires, two things occur: 1. the device does not release the room 2. once the counter reaches zero, it will start to count up rather than down. This affects devices running iOS and Eventboard versions 2.10.4 and 2.10.6. This does not affect Android. Our team is working to identify the root cause and implement a solution. Next Update: 7 PM MT/9 PM ET
