    Update: **History** 4:14am \(mtn\) we began getting alerts that production was down \(from Cloudflare and others\). ~4:20 we identified the issue as DNS, and that the name was not resolving anywhere. ~4:30 Identified that Google Domains is closing down and sold all their existing domain registrations to Squarespace \(we knew this\). The production app’s URL was set to auto-renew, but that setting did not propagate with the transfer. The domain expired. ~ 4:35 We repurchased the domain. All DNS settings were already there, so it just had to propagate. Interim period - most customers could resolve and but some others outside US could not during propagation ~ 5:38 - all DNS servers seem healthy worldwide **Learnings** 1. Consolidate all DNS names into Cloudflare 2. Proactively renew all names when within 3 months of expiration, and do not rely on auto-renewal
