    Update: SparkPost has confirmed a fix has been implemented for this issue, and they are continuing to monitor. Braze is continuing to monitor the situation, and we continue observing successful requests for click-tracked links.

    Update: SparkPost, one of the vendors Braze uses for email delivery, is experiencing an incident posted to their status page at https://status.sparkpost.com/incidents/nj2t6wx6b5gd. This incident is causing HTTP 502 errors for click-tracked links with the DNS of the domain pointed at spgo.io. SparkPost states that this only affects US-hosted email customers.

    Status: Resolved
    Update: Google Firebase has resolved the incident on their side. We can confirm that Braze is no longer seeing errors for those small numbers of previously affected push tokens.
  • Time: Oct. 16, 2024, 6:10 p.m.
    Status: Identified
    Update: Google Firebase Cloud Messaging is experiencing an incident (https://status.firebase.google.com/incidents/PTWWAYPjkjPapM4qkGY2) which is affecting a small number of Android push notification sends. Braze can confirm that we have seen a low level of Android push notification errors since 18:30 ET on October 14th, the start time of Firebase's incident. While our system implements a retry mechanism for failed message deliveries, we are observing a very small number of instances (0.01%) where the maximum number of retries is being exhausted, resulting in a small number of undelivered Push Notifications. As the Firebase incident continues, it may be the case that more Android push notifications become undelivered. Our team has escalated this matter to Google Firebase Support with our named contact, and we're actively monitoring the situation while awaiting further updates. We'll provide additional information as soon as it becomes available.

    Status: Resolved
    Update: Braze has continued to observe successful Email Messaging Sending for Sparkpost across all clusters, and Sparkpost has resolved this incident on their Statuspage. All delayed email backlogs have been processed, and no data was lost. At this point, the incident is resolved.
  • Time: Oct. 15, 2024, 3:20 p.m.
    Status: Monitoring
    Update: Sparkpost (a MessageBird company) has implemented a fix and Braze is observing successful Email Messaging Sending for Sparkpost across all clusters. Braze is processing the messaging backlog, and no messages have been lost. Braze engineering teams continue to monitor the issue.
  • Time: Oct. 15, 2024, 3:03 p.m.
    Status: Identified
    Update: We have identified an issue impacting Email Messages Sending in the US Region via Sparkpost (a Message Bird Company). Customers sending messages via Sparkpost may experience delays. Sparkpost has confirmed they are investigating the issue: https://status.sparkpost.com/incidents/jszl1f7hlzx9. We have reached out to Sparkpost directly and are working with them to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

  • Time: Oct. 14, 2024, 6:27 p.m.
    Status: Resolved
    Update: Our engineering teams have observed all error rates across Meta services have recovered and returned to normal operating thresholds. All outbound WhatsApp messages and Facebook Audience Sync events have been processed. This incident is marked as resolved. We will continue to work with Meta to understand further details of the outage.
  • Time: Oct. 14, 2024, 6:16 p.m.
    Status: Investigating
    Update: We have identified an increase in error rates across multiple Meta services. The following services are impacted: - WhatsApp Templates - Dashboard Users may experience errors in loading message template lists in the WhatsApp composer - Whatsapp Messages - delays and errors in sending WhatsApp Messages. - Facebook Audience Sync - delays and errors in processing Facebook Audience Sync events. We will continue to monitor error rates, and have reached out to Meta to investigate the scope and impact.
