    Update: OpenAI has confirmed the resolution on their end. That means the AI Assistant should be back to working as expected. We really appreciate your patience on this one as we waited on this end for the confirmation.
  • Time: Nov. 9, 2023, 12:59 p.m.
    Status: Monitoring
    Update: The AI Assistant of Buffer is continuing to see periodic issues due to the ongoing incident with OpenAI (https://status.openai.com/). While they have implemented some changes on their end, they appear to be working to mitigate some external trouble. We'll continue to monitor and update this page once they confirm that all things are working as expected on their end.

    Status: Investigating
    Update: We're sorry to say that our AI Assistant feature is running into some downtime at the moment. It looks like OpenAI, the API tool we use for our AI Assistant, is having an outage currently. We are monitoring the OpenAI status page over here: https://status.openai.com. Once OpenAI's API is fully operational again and we have more information on this, we will update our status page accordingly. We do apologise for hassle that has been caused by this today, and we hope things are back to normal again soon.

    Status: Resolved
    Update: We are very happy to report that our engineering team has been able to find the issue that was preventing retweets from being scheduled, and this issue has now been fixed. You would be able to use the Buffer browser extension to schedule tweets via X/Twitter normally again now, as well as from our mobile apps, too. Thank you so much for bearing with us on this and we are so sorry for the trouble that this caused to your workflows whilst the error was in place.

    Status: Investigating
    Update: We are currently investigating an issue with our Buffer browser extension that is resulting in an `Whoops, Buffer's servers couldn't be reached to save the update, sorry about that. Would you be up for trying again?` error message within the composer box when trying to schedule a retweet. The browser extension is working normally from other websites currently, but when clicking on the Buffer button within the X/Twitter feed, and trying to schedule a retweet, the above error is appearing. Our engineers are currently investigating this issue and we will update this page with any new information we have. We're so sorry for the hassle this error is causing for your workflows.
